Introduction to Dance Class, 8 - 12 year olds

Introduction to Dance will introduce eight to twelve-year-old students to the fundamentals of dance technique while exploring different genres such as ballet, jazz, modern, and more. Instructors from Metropolitan Ballet Theatre and Academy will have students work on gaining strength and coordination all while exploring their artistry and creativity. Each week students will learn fun choreography designed for DSNMC that explores many of the new dance techniques and moves learned in each class.

Students should wear comfortable clothing, such as leggings and t-shirts. When selecting clothing, please keep in mind that the participants may be doing some upside-down movements. Participants should be barefoot or wear ballet slippers, and may bring a water bottle with them to class
