“The impossible is possible.”

You won't want to miss this opportunity to see award-winning magicians The Great Zucchini and Abracadabra Alex perform magic tricks to delight both children and adults. Spaces are limited for this special event - register today! All proceeds from this event will support the Down Syndrome Network of Montgomery County (DSNMC). You can learn more about our programs and initiatives HERE.

Tickets will be available for sale at the magic show.

This annual event is being held to support and publicize World Down Syndrome Day, which occurs annually on 3/21. Every year, on March 21, people all around the world come together to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day by wearing brightly colored, mismatched socks. March 21 is symbolic because people with Down syndrome have 3 copies of their 21st chromosome. Socks were chosen because the karyotype of DS chromosomes actually looks like mismatched socks! Will you show your support for people with Down syndrome by wearing mismatched socks to the magic show on March 16th?

For over 25 years, The Great Zucchini has been entertaining young children. He performs his hands-on, interactive magic shows for more than 700 groups a year. In addition to appearing at hundreds of schools and thousands of birthday parties throughout Maryland, Virginia, and DC, The Great Zucchini has also entertained at the 9:30 Club, DC Improv, Arlington Cinema Drafthouse, Historic 6th and I Synagogue, ABC 7 “Let’s Talk Live,” numerous embassies, Jammin’ Java, Avalon Theatre, and Celebrate Fairfax.

"Lots of magicians can amaze.. You get that with Abracadabra Alex, but even more importantly, you also get a very real and special engagement and interaction, so that the audience knows they were part of something special. Alex brings laughter, silliness, and mystery to thousands of kids and families across Maryland, DC, and Virginia, entertaining at hundreds of birthday parties, camps, libraries, schools and daycares, cub scout gatherings, embassy parties, and many other celebrations every year."

Special thanks to Compass Realtor, Jim Begg, for sponsoring this event.
