In-person Teen Hangout!
Join DSNMC for lunch and a movie! This event is for teens and parents, caregivers, and personal support professionals. The teens will have lunch at the Silver Diner at Rio in Gaithersburg and then take in a movie at the AMC Rio just across the lobby (we'll pick the movie closer to the date!). This in-person hangout will be a great social activity and also include opportunities to practice dining out skills such as menu selection and paying checks.
Lunch will be paid for individually by each participant and DSNMC will provide the movie tickets. Each lunch participant should come prepared with either cash or a credit card to pay their lunch check.
Please note that the posted end time of 5:00pm is an estimate; we will provide a more concrete time closer to the event after the movie is selected.
Parents, caregivers, and personal care professionals attending the event will be seated at a separate table to promote autonomy and learning about the teens attending.
